Great... Keira can fit into this dress! Her armpit area is still a little loose... but looks fine overall... thanks Littlepony! :-)

Oh.. realised recently that Keira loves to point with her Index Finger...hmm...
Following is a list of things she will do with her Index Finger:

1. Point at certain direction, our face/features
2. Poke at our body parts or objects
3. Press Mr Elmo's chest - she sees us do that to make Elmo sing
4. Pinch and twist our flesh using her Index Finger and Thumb - much needed when she is going to Zzzz... dunno why she is so sadistic!

The Porridge Menu

Yummy...yummy... that's probably what Keira will say to me every weekends when I cook porridge for her! :-) (if she can speak...)

Although Keira has been taking porridge for almost 2.5 months by now, I only started taking the 1st pic of her porridge. This is just one of the many "selections" that she usually has. Attached pic was what I cooked for Keira on Sat morning.... Sweet Potato cum Spinach Porridge aka Sweet Match Made in Heaven ... haha

Here's the receipe for Sweet Match Made in Heaven:

• 1 Sweet Potato and cut into cubes (I usually buy Japanese sweet potato but this Sat's sp bought by my mum...dun think its Jap one.. probably from china :p)
• 5-6 pieces of Spinach leaves and chop
• Rice (only very little portion required)

Method:

• Boil water
• Throw in rice and slow cook for 15 mins
• Throw in sweet potato cubes and cook for 45 mins - 1 hour
• Throw in chopped spinach leaves and cook for 10 mins
• Once porridge and sweet potato are very soft and well cooked, off fire
• Leave it to cool for 15-30 mins
• Serve to baby *

* Mash the sweet potato cubes with the porridge before feeding... :-)

Keira's 2 bottom-teeth sprouted

Yeah yeah yeah.... Discovered Keira's 2 bottom teeth! On Sat, while I was feeding Keira with a metal spoon, I could hear "kek kek" sound... as she was "biting" the spoon... rather obvious "kek kek" sound... and I was sure it came from the knocking of her tooth with the metal spoon...

Both papa and I tried to pull her lower lip down to see, but everytime we did that, Keira will stick out her tongue at the same time! alamak... how to check her gums???

This morning...I successfully pulled her lip down (without her tongue coming out!) and finally... noticed 2 tiny little teeth sprouting out of her gums... haha heihei.... managed to show my mum too... haha... I need a witness to that! Hmm.. I wonder how she will look with more teeth coming out?

LOVELY! what a lovely sight of our 3 princesses!

It was Valerie's 2 year-old Birthday mini-celebration at our parents' home. We thought it was a great sight having all 3 princesses together and Val's dad decided to take a picture of them. All parents out there.... seeing this... you will be thinking in your head "gosh.. that must have been tough trying to take a pic - good pic of the 3!" .... u bet!!!! T-O-U-G-H is an understatement, ok.... Its VERY TOUGH! When 1 gets ready for the shot, there will be at least one of them turning her head away from the camera. Or when 2 of them are good and ready, one will be out of sync! Otherwise, all 3 will tumble onto one another and we have to pick them up and/or all 3 of them will be so excited pulling one another's hair/clothes/hands/legs...u name it!

Finally, we all think the above is the 'best shot' of all attempts!

Guess who is the worst "victim" out of the 3 in this tussle on the bed? .... nah...not Keira the youngest... haha...its Karin the eldest! She has longest hair - very vulnerable to Keira's pulling, she is the eldest and therefore she is "more aware" .... Well....and no prizes for guessing right who is the big "bully".... haha....^_^

You may think it must have been tiring and hard on the 3 princesses....NAH!!!.... it us! At the end of these attempts, we, the parents, were perspiring and panting!

Heartwarming day... ^_^

*psst* ... you know how 1st-time parents get all excitable when our bb making their 1st sound, 1st syllable, 1st word..anything and whatever! Often, papa and I will pride and feel proud whenever Keira either lets out something that sounds like 'mama' or 'papa' ..., even though sometimes she could be simply just making "sounds"!!! .... ... sometimes, I really wonder if she meant what she "said"!

However, today is different! very very different, and indeed very very heartwarming! Pretty obvious... or rather...very obvious!

Ok...here's what happened! This morning, Keira woke up 1st and was tapping my shoulders and touching my hair . Woke up and played with her for a while... having a fun time with lotsa cute and sweet laughter from Keira! I felt quite hungry after a while and brough Keira over to the other room to wake papa up... . Put Keira down on our bed beside papa, and papa was lying there like a bloody big worm! Keira was obviously not very entertained, turned over to look at me, and called out 'mama, mama, mama'... with intense eye-power telling me 'mama, pick me up please, I want u' ... hei hei hei... We know for sure... this is obviously, seriously, whatever.... telling us that she knows I am her mama!!! ^_^

Keira is fair.... within the same day, after making mama felt good... she made papa happy too! Here's what happened! Afternoon, while I was feeding Keira her afternoon multi-grain cereal + banana, I told papa to go downstairs to get pandan leaves for making desserts later. Papa got changed, waved Keira bye-bye, walked towards the door.... and that very moment, Keira let out 'papa, papa'... with intense eye-power telling him 'papa, where r u going without me??' .... kei kei kei.... Isn't this obvious????

At least we know, and we are damn clear that she knows.... I am her mama, and he is her papa! ... ^_^

Keira's typical weekday...starts with...

A typical weekday-mornings goes like this...
Papa and I have to prepare for work, and so, Keira will be placed on our queen-size bed with pillows and bolsters bounding her from falling off the bed. We will then place all her fav toys such as Mr Elmo, Mr Barney, Her Baby, Miss Tortoise and some plastic balls for her to help herself to. We need to do this so that papa can do his daily "activities" while I do mine - brush teeth, bathe and makeup. But...ofcoz, we need to take turns to 'look-out' for her while the other gets busy.

So here, Keira gets a little busy with Mr Elmo's microphone and plastic balls...while still staring hard at Mr Elmo... making sure that Mr Elmo does 'run' away suddenly. Usually, papa will b watching over her while I bathe....


and when I'm outta of bathroom, papa will go do his activities.... while I proceed to slap on eye cream and all the necessary moisturizers.....

When I take out my makeup kit and sit on the bed facing Keira, she will grin and here's what will happen next..... the photos tell it all.....

Keira crawls and stretches towards my makeup kit....aiming for the MAC compact!


Look at her face!!! She got my compact and doesn't stop there! She got my eye shadow kit too... look at that face of hers......................haha!!!


and... you and I thought that she will stop there???? NO!
Keira wants more! crawling towards my blusher!... OMG.. and opening up!


That's enough! I took everything back from her! :-)

1st Mother's Day + Keira's 2nd Dip

13/5 - Mother's Day...MY VERY FIRST MOTHER'S DAY... get this... 1st! wow...!!! I was really excited about this day. Before this, every year, our family and papa's family will celebrate Mother's Day but not for me ofcoz. This year, is great... my first and it should be memorable! It should be listed in my historical book! haha...

Well, very excited ya? I was thinking over the past 2 weeks, how I should celebrate this day with Keira and papa...and finally, I thought of a place which papa loves and I have not been since my uni-days... and... it's the Tea House! There's a tea house in Neil Rd called Tea Chapter that I used to go when I was young--er ... Last week, I called and made a booking at Tea Chapter for Sat afternoon. And I was reall------y lookin---g forwar---d to i---t..... until....my bro called me on friday to inform that we have to celebrate Mother's Day fr our mum on Sat lunch instead due to full-booking at restaurants.... Well... that means I have to postpone Tea Chapter to Sun afternoon. Then..... on Sun morning, papa suggested bringing Keira for a swim .....and after much deliberation, I decided to cancel Tea Chapter and bring Keira for swim because it's been 2.5 mths since her last/1st swim.... and Well... that means I have t cancel Tea Chapter....! Anyway, I figured we can go to Tea Chapter anytime but finding a good weather for Keira to swim is tough :-)

So, here's Keira in her pokey dotty one-piece swimwear... hehe... papa thinks I have bad taste in choosing this piece but...I SIMPLY AM LOVIN' IT! it's sooooooo RETRO-LOOKING ( I love poker dots!!!!) psst... I got this retro piece at a roadside makeshift stall in Macau in April ... hehe...for about S$6... ;-p

By the way, Keira was a different swimwear on her 1st swim 2.5 mths ago. It was a weird-looking pink/purple colour combi 'diver' suit - chosen (insisted) by papa. It's definitely more practical but.......

Anyway.... I did not take any pics of her wearing that piece coz Keira's 2nd uncle (my 2nd bro) laughed at Keira when she wore that the last time.... so... ofcoz I did not want to capture that... ;-p

Keira WoW! promoting Windows Vista & Office 07 '-p

My company gave out Adults and Kids-T during the Windows Vista & Office 2007 (WoW) launch in Feb. This morning, I decided to let Keira wear it even though it is still a little too big for her... Her papa was squatting behind her, pulling back the t-shirt to make it more fitting!!! ..so that WoW can be prominently displayed ;-)

Anyway... her's a pic of her... promoting it!!! haha...

Hmm... maybe I should have papa and myself wear my WoW T-shirts, and take a pic as a WoW family next time...! <Stay tune>!!!

Keira on potty

Keira "uugghh....uugghh--ing" ....

Keira's vocabulary includes...

I can't believe I am penning this ... only...now...Well... as the saying goes "Better late than never!" .. :p

The topic for today is about Keira's list of vocabs. Well, since many months back, Keira was mumbling 'pa--pa', 'ma--ma' ... and recently, probably few weeks ago, she started saying 'mum--mum' ... which means she wants milk, and she will look out for me with 'mum--mum'!

Last Sat, we were going out and at the lift lobby, I lifted my hands and moved my palm towards her and said 'Hi5'. Keira looked at me, smiled and excitedly responded with a 'wai--wai' haha...!!! 'wai--wai'??? I think she meant to respond back with a 'Hi5' ya? and I was positive about that because Keira hit her palm against mine when she said that! :-)

On Wed morning, while we were getting out of the house, I said to Keira 'bye-bye' , and ... yes yes... Keira responded with 'bye--bye'!!! Yeah yeah yeah....!!!! '-)
Throughout the journey in the car, Keira just couldn't stop mumbling to herself 'bye--bye'...haha...wow... I am very happy because it just felt like an achievement/milestone achieved! OMG....haahaa!!!

I guess, moving forward, I have to be really careful about what I say in front of Keira because I think she is going to pick them all up... ;-p

This weekend Keira was busy playing with her "collection" of all-time fav toys. Here's a pic of her and her introducing them....

Mr Elmo - mama chanced upon this "musical" Elmo at a warehouse sale when I was just a month-old. Press any of the buttons and Elmo will sing me all his fav songs :). I am so glad mama fight hard with papa to get this for me.... coz....Elmo is still my #1 fav so far :p, thanks mama! --> I love you, mama!
Mr Barney - grandpa bought this. Press the stomach and Mr Barney will sing to me! I always hear mama telling me "oh... soooo cute, barney is also wearing a diaper like lele" ... *faint*! not funny at all, mama!
Miss Tortoise (or is that a Turtle???) - mama noticed this tortoise at Ikea children's dept, took it, pull the neck... and voila, there's music coming out of her! hehe... mama loves it! I find it kinda weird and scary coz the neck can be pulled and will start shrinking back as the music ends.....yeew!
My Baby - ok.. this is also my #1 fav.. hmm... ok.. #2! mama told me she got this from Mr SIA-flight supervisor on her way back from States! I find "her/him??" weird initially...coz "her/his??" eyes look "disturbing" to me! But... I grew to like "it" alot! :-)

Ok... papa and mama have this "thing" about Keira calling "papa" or "mama". Well, this is what I noticed... when Keira cries or when she's hungry, she will cry for "mama"... evidence found in this video... ... btw.. I do feel bad and it did hurt me to see her cry....
P/S: Dun mean to video her when she cries though... I wanted to capture her crawling for the fruits, however, she cried! :-( , and well... I posted this so that when she grows up, she can see all the happiness, saddness etc that she has gone through... *sob* I dun even have anything to see re my growth stages...
