At 11:29pm...

It's 11:29pm now...

Usually by this time, I will be in slumberland..well...unless I have late-nights conference calls with my counterpacts in US and Dublin...

Today, or rather this week is a crazy week. Why?... It's year-end close for my company, and it's also our performance review time. Today is yr-end cutoff, and I am also trying to make sure my deliverables are met! Just when I was busying with my emails in the study room, I had a loud, loud wail from Keira in the opposite room (she's been sleeping in our master bedroom since monday because her room airconditioning was dripping badly! umm...actually papa and I have not serviced our aircon units for a long...long..time - dun ask how long, u'll probally puke!) ! ... Oh well....nothing new, just that her pacifier dropped and she must have been frantically "munching" around for it but couldn't find. I went in, switched on the little lamp and found the pacifier. Stuff it in her mouth, immediately she stopped wailing and went back to Zzzzzz... Oh... she tried to "feel" for my arms with her killer index-finger and thumb, and I managed to dodge it..hehe. That moment, I could smell her saliva...she must have drooled on her face! ... nope, not disgusting at all... nope... I even moved my nose closer to have a deep breath... oh, just lovin it! Alright, enough... better let her sleep! @_@

Hmm...just remembered, we have not brought Keira for swim since April! I went into her room and decided to take a pic of her swimsuit collections .. haha...

My Birthday (Part III) ... Surprise from my team!!!

After a day off, I went back to work today.....

... what happened???????? Where are all my stuff??? Everything's wrapped up... but what happened to my workstation????

There were so many post-its with messages pasted all over the place.....messages like:

OMG, thumbs up to the team... they had every bit and pieces of my things that are placed on my desk/area wrapped!!!!! I had to unwrap everything before I can start my day... GOSH!!!! It took my a good 15-20mins to unwrap and pack everything back to order....!!! haha... what a sabotage from the team! But great surprise!!! THANKS!

My Birthday (Part II).."celebrating" this day with family

Cliche to say this... but Keira is my best gift this birthday! yeah.... :-)

On 26/6, we take leave to spend the day together. Started with a lunch at Crystal Jade@ Ngee Ann City, followed by shopping... and then to Sentosa!

Keira was so engrossed! She was watching "Birds Encounter" show at Palawan Ampitheater.

The story is....at the Baby Show on Sunday 23/6 (their 2nd show).... the 4ever-extremely inquisitive Keira... was at her "tip-top condition" and...terrorising The Chng family...

Keira: Eh...Oh..hehe... what's Shermaine doing? What's the black thing with her???? Hmm... looks delicious... keke.. maybe I can "explore".... hei hei hei

Keira: Ok..ok...... ....phew.. mama not around... so she will neither scream nor stop me from EATING!!! ....Let me move closer to Shermaine, and she isn't looking so maybe I shall try "flanking attack"... hei hei hei ... oohhh oohhh arrr.... hungry, hungry...hungry... hee hee

Keira: Oh..oh... Shermaine got the black yummy thing...oh oh... no..no... dunnnnnn eatttttt........

Keira: Arrgghhh.... S-papa...what r u doing??????? wait.............where is my black yummy thing????? and dun take Shermaine away!!! give me the yummy yummy first!!!

Keira: arrghh....nothing to eat liao... I wanna go back to papa.... maybe papa got milk milk, or 包包 for me...

My Birthday (Part I)..yes..ME, as in Keira's mama :o

Shermaine's mama and Wayne's mama are simply lovable! They bought me a cake for my birthday and we celebrated during lunch (a day in advance). Oh, they bought me a present too!.. haha... they are hilarious, I tell u! They got me cereal!!!! haha... ok.. only Motherhood Forum mums who knows me... will probably know why they bought me that!



I have some pics taken with the 2 mamas... but to "protect" their identities (haha...funny!), I shall only publish my individual shot.... (notice the "school pack" cereal?????)

Auntie Keira?

Oooh... Keira's carrying a bag, or is that a purse? Why does she behave like... auntie?

Zzzz...while "munching" her pacifier

On one sunny but lazy afternoon, papa, mama and Keira went to IMM ... And on this sunny but lazy afternoon, while window shopping, Keira Zzzzzz....quietly in her stroller...while "munching" on her pacifier.... shhhhhhhh.....plz....shhhh... dun wake her up.... ok.......?

Keira badly "beaten" up...

Yesterday morning, I discovered a 20cents-sized bruise on Keira's forehead, extreme-right corner! It has turned slightly yellowish...which means that the bruise was there couple of days back. I recalled that one Wed or thurs, Keira was crawling and climbing all over the place and my mum's body.... that she knocked her head against my mum's. It was a little red and I thot nothing of it... OMG.. now its became a visible bruise.. hehe.

This morning, Keira kept crawling towards our living room coffee table, to get her hands on our daily newspaper. Was telling hb to "look after" her... in case she "ramp" her face against the edge of the coffee table. HB replied "nah.. dun worry la, she'll be fine". Just what!!!! Just minutes later, she slipped and she left cheek hit against the edge of the coffee table! Now... who stil doesn't trust a mother's instinct????? OMG... now she's got a thick line of bruise slashed across her left cheek! *faint*

Doesn't she now look like a gangsta!?!?!

Keira at Jalan Besar Healthy Baby Show 2007!

Papa, mama and Keira had a great time at the Jalan Besar Healthy Baby Show today! Keira was such a darling when we arrived at Jalan Besar CC this morning at around 845am! We registered Keira and her participant # was Baby A06... At the main hall, she was delighted to see so many balloons, babies and toddlers! She was laughing and almost non-stop..haha... many mums, dads and their babies were looking at Keira and smiling coz she was pointing everywhere and laughing!

We took some pictures and waited for friend Shermaine to arrive...At around 9, Shermaine arrived with her mum and dad! Keira was super excited to see Shermaine and wasn't shy to touch her... while Shermaine was kinda shocked with her enthusiam as she hadn't really warmed up with us yet... :-p. Shermaine was registered as Baby A18.

When our Baby # was called, Keira went for the test/check up. While outside the waiting room, Keira starting yawning! OMG.. wait a time.. haha... Oh.. well... 9-nish is usually about time for her morning nap.. haha... I peeped into the test/check up and saw the baby in front of Keira reacting rather well to the 2 doctors... playing with the toys and letting the lady doc to carry her. At the moment, I told my hb, gosh... "haha... Keira is going to freak out with 2 strangers!"....

Just as expected! Keira was clinging on to me almost the whole time while she was placed on the table. She wasn't reacting well to the 2 docs and didn't really want to pick up the objects. Well, one of the criteria was to see if the baby was able to pick up objects, their eye movement, reactions etc.... I tried to play with Keira and showed her... made her relaxed... and after a while, she began to "open" up a little.. and started pointing at the objects, observing and holding. The lady doc asked me couple of questions like "What did she eat? What fruits has she started on, and what's her fav? How long did I breastfeed her for? Can she crawl/stand? To her last question, I said "ya, she crawls all over, she can sit after crawl and stand by herself with support. To my answered, the lady doc said "Oh..wow...that's good! Let's get Keira to crawl on the table!" .. @_@... table??? eh.... r u sure????, I asked with shock! haha....

When we both came out of the room, papa and I said to each other.... "alamak...she was scared la..." and we both knew she wasn't going to win anything... hehe...

Shermaine went for her turn as well...

The guest-of-honour Jalan Besar MP arrived at about 11am for the results and prize giving session. Our 2 princesses were in their wonderland... in sweat, wahaha.... By the time they were ready to announce the 3 healthy bb winners, Shermaine had already woken up while Keira was still sweating in her nap... haha... on papa's shoulders! Just then, the MC called out ...."The Healthy Baby award, not in any order of merit...goes out.... Keira Leong! We were all still glued to our seats, and only came to realise when the MC called out again... Keira Leong. I asked papa... our Keira? She won??? then MC called another time... Keira Leong. Ok.. must be her. Papa asked me to bring her up, I took Keira ... walked up to the stage. OMG... u should see her.. she was perspiring... with a messed up hair and was still wondering "eh.. what happen? why wake me up?... haha....not bad man, got a trophy + little hamper ;-)

Keira stands - all by herself

Keira has been standing all by herself, own effort of hers... for the past 2-3 weeks (possibly). I think she can climb too...just do not have the chance to capture her on video cam!

This evening... managed to capture her in action at my bro's place! ... ACTION!

Keira's 1st Baby Show

This coming Sunday, Keira will be meeting Shermaine for the first time! Yeah!!! So who is Shermaine? ... She's the previous gal of one of my forum frenz, and Shermaine is just a day older than Keira...so that's basically how I met Shermaine's mum...hehe... coz we were both expecting our previous ones in the same mth! It was just a coincidence that Shermaine popped a day earlier! Oh.. that's also a bb boy by the name of Wayne - whose mum we met through forum too! Wayne is a day older than Shermaine..haha... yes yes... the 'do-re-mi' baby gang ;-p

S and K are meeting this sunday for a baby contest/show that we have signed them up for. Not so much for the contest but we want both gals to meet and also experience the environment...full of other bbs and toddlers! gosh... I am excited!

There's currently a list of things on my mind...up till sunday:

1. What should Keira wear?
2. Will Keira get grouchy at 9+am, her usual morning nap time?
3. Will Keira say "hi" to Shermaine, Chng's Wife and Mr Chng like she usually goes non-stop with?
4. What time will Keira start grumbling 'mum mum'?
5. Can Keira's patience sustain for 4hrs from 9am - 1pm?
6. Will Keira get ultra-excited with so many bbs and kids around? - Keira loves kids! I hope she doesn't start screaming in joy...non-stop @_@
7. etc....
8. etc...

Keira born to 'Ang Moh'???

Hmmm... has something gone wrong during the process of Keira-in-the-making??? Hubby and I are true, pure Chinese with very chinese-features. I think I have very oriental looks too, well... at least some people used to comment that about me :-) ...
But... what happened to Keira in the process of production? Quite a few people have asked me if Keira's dad is Eurasian or Ang Moh from photos they saw ... and some have also commented that Keira has Ang Moh-look from their meet-up with Keira. Just 2 days ago when we met up with my long-"lost" cousin and his family from Malaysia, they all commented too that Keira does not look very chinese... that she looks a little eurasian... hmm....

Maybe her looks will change again when she grows up..... or maybe she will look like .... Japanese? Korean or even Malay? who knows... we'll continue to watch from this blog how her looks changes everyday ;-p

Captured an interesting sight this evening....
While papa was having his packed dinner, I put Keira on our bean bag and papa handed her the bag of 'fruits' to entertain herself with. I was observing her and found this sight of her playing with the bag of fruits, lying on the bean bag all by herself very cute... by the time I took my mobile phone, switched on the camera mode... it was kinda late... her bag of fruits dropped on the floor.. and she tried to get up from the bean bag to retrieve it. Anyhow, it's still a cute sight... enjoy! @_@

Elmo Bag for Keira

About 2 months ago, I saw a little girl carrying a bag with Elmo 'hanging' on it, well... it's an Elmo Bag! Looks really cute, afterall, Keira seems to like Elmo alot... remember her Mr Elmo mentioned in one of my previous post - http://lonebabe.blogspot.com/2007/05/this-weekends-keira-was-busy-playing.html ...

Since that day, I have been scouring the kids malls/stores for the Elmo Bag... no luck! Kept seeing Barney Bag - ie.. Barney 'hanging' on the bag! Nah... not Barney... I know Keira wants Elmo! I know it!

This evening, papa came back after work...holding his packed dinner, our bubble teas and .... wow wow wow... an Elmo Bag he bought for Keira! WoW!!! I am ecstatic! papa... b-o-u-g-h-t a bag for Keira!!! haha...
